On November 6, 2019, Ciku Muiruri shared a harrowing account of a night that left her with more questions than answers.

She had met a stranger at a pub, and after a few drinks, he offered to drop her home. However, he didn't leave, and she agreed to have one last drink with him.

As she recounted in her post, 'Some years ago I woke up in my bed, naked, next to someone I could not recognise. I was terrified because I did not have much memory of the night before.'

She remembered bits and pieces of the night, including meeting the stranger at the pub and him buying her a drink. However, she couldn't recall what happened after that.

When she woke up the next morning, she was naked in bed with the stranger, and she had suffered a memory loss.

She wrote, 'I woke up the next day in my bed, naked, with him beside me. My first thought was… What the hell did I drink last night? I have never been drunk to the point of memory loss and blackout.'

Despite her efforts to piece together the events of the night, she couldn't remember the stranger's name or what had happened between them.

She expressed her concern about the increasing danger of date rape and the need for the government to ban easily available substances that are being used to drug and rob people.
