On November 3, 2019, Kamene and Kibe on Morning Kiss radio discussed the topic of legalizing weed in Kenya, a conversation often considered taboo.

They played an audio clip from McDonald Mariga's rally speech, where he confidently stated that if he were in government, he would work to make weed legal, saying 'Shada ni medicine. Muniweke bunge tupush maneneo ya shada. Hatutaki kupigwa tukivuta shada. Sindio?' (Weed is medicine. Let's pass a law to make it legal. We don't want to be forced to take it. Agree?)

Mariga's statement was made in front of Deputy President William Ruto, leaving Kibe surprised by the bold declaration.

Kamene pointed out that many countries have benefited from legalizing weed, and both hosts agreed that it should be legalized in Kenya.

Andrew Kibe jokingly suggested that if he were a governor, he would smoke weed openly, even going so far as to say he would 'burn it on the roof of the cars' if he were an MCA.

However, not everyone shared their enthusiasm for legalization. A caller argued that making it legal would reduce the fun in smoking weed, comparing it to cigarettes.
