On November 3, 2019, Kericho Zoo secured a crucial 1-0 victory against Kariobangi Sharks in a Kenya Premier League match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Goalkeeper Vincent Misikhu played a pivotal role in the win, saving crucial shots and frustrating the efforts of Sharks' forwards led by Sydney Lokale and Erick Kapaito.

The decisive goal for Kericho Zoo was scored in the 38th minute by Samuel Olwande, who unleashed a powerful volley from a foul past Sharks custodian John Oyombe.

This was the second loss in a row for Kariobangi Sharks at the same venue, following their 1-0 defeat to defending champions Gor Mahia two weeks prior.

According to Kericho Zoo head coach Herman Isweha, the team's enviable teamwork and concentration were key factors in their win.

Despite pressure from Kariobangi Sharks in the second half, Kericho Zoo maintained their focus and secured the win.

Sharks head coach William Muluya made four substitutions in an attempt to equalize, but the changes failed to yield the desired results.
