Love knows no boundaries, and several Kenyan celebrities have proven this by intermarrying with women from different religions. In this article, we focus on six prominent Kenyan men who have married Muslim women without converting.
According to reports, Ben Kitili, a Kenyan journalist, married Amina Mude, a Muslim, in April this year. The couple has two children, a daughter, and a son. However, their union was met with criticism from some Muslims, who accused Amina of 'selling her soul to the devil.'
Ben Kitili came out to defend his wife, telling off critics who questioned their union. 'THIS IS NONSENSICAL, ABSURD, IMPLAUSIBLE, RIDICULOUS AND DOWNRIGHT INSULT ON THE FACE OF ISLAM AND OUR MOST DIGNIFIED SOMALI CULTURE. THIS BEAUTIFUL LADY SOLD HER DIGNITY AND WHOLE BEAUTY TO THE DEVILS AND DESPISED OUR BEAUTIFUL PROPHETS’ TEACHINGS,' one critic wrote on Facebook.
Other notable Kenyan men who have married Muslim women without converting include Martin Dale, who married former Tahidi High actor Sarah Hassan, and Gideon Moi, who is married to Zahra Moi. The couple has three children.
Additionally, Steve Mbogo, a businessman, is married to Sabrina Jamal, and they have two daughters. Jalang'o, a media personality, recently introduced his wife-to-be, Amina Chao, to the public. The couple has been together for over three years and has two children. Lastly, John Rabar is married to Amina Abdi, and they have one child, a son.
