China Asks Nato To Stop Exaggerating Its Threat ¶
China has found itself at the center of a heated discussion with Nato, with the alliance warning of 'systematic challenges' coming from Beijing.
According to Nato, China's expansion of its nuclear arsenal poses a threat to the 'rules-based international order.'
However, China has responded by stating that its defense policy is defensive in nature and has urged Nato to promote dialogue and cooperation.
China's mission to the European Union said in a statement, 'Our pursuit of defence and military modernisation is justified, reasonable, open and transparent.'
Nato's concerns about China come after a summit in Brussels, where US President Joe Biden attended as President. The US is also a member of the G7.
China has also responded to the G7's Build Back Better plan, saying that it is a small group that cannot rule the world.
China's response comes after the G7 accused it of exposing poor nations to huge debts that they cannot pay back, as well as violating human rights.
