On Tuesday, over one million candidates across the country began their three-day KCPE exams, marking the start of a crucial period in their educational journey.
As the exams got underway, the government was busy ensuring that everything was in place to guarantee a smooth exercise. Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha had assured the country that extra resources, including helicopters, had been set aside to ensure the safe and timely delivery of examination papers to thousands of examination centres.
With the government leaving no stone unturned, four-wheel-drive vehicles, boats, and helicopters were mobilised to transport examination materials to areas that had been rendered inaccessible by floods. Additionally, officials had prepared to deal with possible emergencies, including handling pregnant candidates.
Government officials were leading the exam materials distribution exercise at various centres early Tuesday morning across the country. The exercise was a testament to the government's commitment to ensuring that every candidate has a fair chance to succeed.
As the exams progressed, the nation held its breath, eagerly awaiting the results that would shape the future of millions of young Kenyans.
