Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana Seeks Court Help to Stop Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi ¶

Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana has sought court help to stop blogger Cyprian Nyakundi from publishing defamatory statements about him. The governor has obtained a gag order to restrain Nyakundi from further publishing the statements.
The article titled 'Governor Kibwana's addiction to anal sex worries aides' exposed the governor's randy lifestyle and linked him to corruption, alleging that he is building a Ksh. 600 Million hotel using funds syphoned from Makueni county coffers.
Justice J.K Sergon granted the gag order on October 24, 2019, pending an inter-parties hearing on November 7, 2019. The order restrains Nyakundi from publishing defamatory statements about the governor or his family until the hearing and determination of the application.
Judge Sergon has featured in most of Nyakundi's cases, granting more than 10 orders gagging the blogger, raising suspicions as to why everyone that wants an order rushes to him.
