Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has taken to social media to share a nostalgic photo of him and his wife Antonella, taken 10 years ago in Argentina.
According to reports, the photo was taken when the pair met during their childhood in Rosario, Argentina, in 1996.
Messi and Antonella's relationship began when Messi was just nine years old, after being introduced to her by a friend.
However, their relationship did not start immediately as Messi had to leave Argentina four years later to join Barcelona's La Masia Academy.
It was only after an accident killed one of Antonella's close friends that Messi traveled back to Argentina to condole with her, marking the beginning of their relationship.
The couple started living together in 2010 before the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and officially got married in 2017 in a lavish ceremony.
Today, Messi and Antonella are blessed with three children: Thiago, six, Mateo, four, and Ciro, one.
