Comedian Brendah Jons, the creator of popular animation 'Plesident Kingston', has spoken out about her troubled past, revealing she was raped by a family member and a pastor.

According to a recent interview with Betty Kyalo, Brendah Jons confessed to being raped twice and sexually assaulted once, with the first incident occurring when she was just five years old.

She recalled: 'I was five when it first happened, and he would do it continually. He would actually threaten me that 'if you say anything, I will kill you'.

When she was 12, Brendah Jons was raped again by her aunt's husband, who stuffed socks in her mouth and threatened her not to tell anyone.

She also revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a pastor at the age of 18, who gave her Sh200 and told her not to get pregnant.

Brendah Jons explained that she was afraid to speak out about her experiences, especially when she was assaulted by the pastor, but feels a 'huge burden has been lifted' after sharing her story.
