On October 19, 2019, Britam General Insurance unveiled a new enhanced inpatient medical insurance plan, Milele Health Plan, designed to provide customers with lifetime health coverage.
The product was developed in recognition of the rising rates of critical illnesses such as cancer, high blood pressure, and diabetes. It offers a range of benefits, including free personal accident cover, overseas treatment cover, and annual wellness checks.
Britam's Principal Executive Director, Business, Stephen Wandera, stated, "The aim is to enhance our health insurance customer experience to improve their wellbeing through healthy lifestyle options and ensuring they are covered for life."
The Milele Health Plan has six options, ranging from Sh500,000 to Sh10 million, and is available to individuals, their families, SMEs, and corporates.
