On Friday, former Tetu Member of Parliament Ndung'u Gethenji was arrested by flying squad officers in Nairobi, in a move that follows a long-standing ownership dispute with his brother.
The dispute centers around the Ksh.20 billion Waridi Gardens Estate in Nairobi's Kitisuru area, which is owned by Kihingo Village (Waridi Gardens) Limited and Kihingo Village (Waridi) Management One Limited, companies reportedly controlled by Ndung'u.
According to sources, the estate comprises 55 house units valued at Ksh.400 million each, making it a highly valuable and contentious asset.
Gitahi Gethenji, Ndung'u's elder brother, has been at odds with him over the management of the estate, leading to the chaos that culminated in Ndung'u's arrest.
