As the 2019/20 Premier League season enters its eighth game, the Golden Boot race is heating up with several players in contention.
The top spot is currently shared by Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Chelsea's Tammy Abraham, both with eight goals.
Other notable contenders include Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Norwich's Teemu Pukki, Manchester City's Raheem Sterling, and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
With 30 games remaining, the Golden Boot winner is far from certain, with only a four-goal gap between first and 10th place.
According to statistics, Aguero has a phenomenal record of 70 minutes per goal, but his shot accuracy is only 41 per cent.
On the other hand, Bournemouth's Callum Wilson has a impressive shot accuracy of 92 per cent.
Abraham, a Premier League newbie, has been a shining star in Frank Lampard's young Chelsea side, scoring eight goals in as many games.
However, his inexperience may be a concern going forward, and for Chelsea in general.
Aubameyang, on the other hand, has maintained a 65 per cent shot accuracy, but has played over 150 more minutes than Abraham and Aguero.
The top 10 Premier League goal scorers are:
- Sergio Aguero - 8 Goals
- Tammy Abraham - 8 Goals
- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 7 Goals
- Teemu Pukki - 6 Goals
- Raheem Sterling - 6 Goals
