On October 17, 2019, Oscar Sudi sparked controversy with his remarks on the ideal partners for Kikuyu women.
Speaking on the matter, Sudi suggested that Kikuyu women should focus on Luo men, citing their luxurious lifestyles and posh living as attractive qualities.
He claimed that the kind of treatment, lifestyle, and finances Kikuyu women desire can only be maintained by the Luos.
According to Sudi, his experience with Luo friends and colleagues in politics has given him confidence in their ability to sustain the high financial expectations of Kikuyu women.
He also criticized Kikuyu women for targeting and entrapping low-income individuals, often with devastating consequences.
Instead, Sudi advised Kikuyu women to consider dating, courting, and marrying Luo men, who he believes have a unique ability to tame even the most stubborn women.
He pointed out that there are many examples of Luos living peacefully with Kikuyus, including some who have even tamed top politicians in Kenya.
