I used to watch Maisha Magic and I was fascinated by the way actors could bring characters to life.'

Mlagala's journey in the theatre has not been without its challenges. She has faced criticism and rejection, but she remains determined to succeed. 'I believe that the government should support the arts sector fully by providing funding for actors who are just starting out,' she says.

Despite the challenges, Mlagala remains optimistic about the future of Tanzanian theatre. She believes that the industry has the potential to grow and thrive, and she is committed to being a part of it. 'I want to be a brand in the next five years,' she says.
