Massimiliano Allegri, the former Juventus manager, has been linked to the Manchester United manager job amid the club's poor start to the Premier League season.

Allegri has been out of a job since leaving Juventus in the summer and is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.

According to reports, Allegri has already held talks with Manchester United and is 'very close' to becoming the manager.

Manchester United have endured a disastrous start to their Premier League campaign, collecting just two wins since the start of the new campaign.

The club is currently under immense pressure, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer facing the possibility of being sacked if United lose their next league match against Liverpool.

Allegri has given a cryptic response to the links, saying 'I speak English too poorly for now, but I am learning.'
