On October 17, 2019, a devastating car accident took the lives of a Zimbabwean family of four, leaving behind a heart-wrenching legacy.

Godfrey Tonderai, a loving husband and father, was at the helm of the vehicle when it caught fire, claiming the lives of his wife, Faith Sithole, and their two young daughters, Shalom Sithole, 10, and Shekinah Sithole, 5.

Godfrey's social media posts paint a picture of a devoted family man who cherished every moment with his loved ones. He often shared photos and stories of their outings, marathons, and special moments they shared together.

One of his posts, which caught our attention, was a song lyric he shared, which read:

‘There is no weapon formed against me which shall prosper. He said so in his word even if I go through a shadow of death what am I to fear. Because he said in his word that he will never leave me, he said so, he said so.’

He also shared another post praising his family, stating that the only thing that lasts is memories created, not gifts bought for kids. He wrote:

‘When everything we often value more than our families is lost, we still have family with us. I thank God for this wonderful small family of mine. It was a weekend well spend out there. A wonderful moment of bonding, self- reflection and re positioning and far away from the everyday noises.’

Godfrey's love for his family was evident in his posts, and his last message, a song lyric, has been revealed, leaving behind a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing every moment with loved ones.
