Spain's Euro 2020 qualifier against Sweden took a dramatic turn on October 15, 2019, when goalkeeper David De Gea suffered an injury.

De Gea had been in top form until the 51st minute when Marcus Berg nodded home the opening goal from close range. Shortly after, the 28-year-old keeper sat down on the pitch before being replaced by Kepa.

De Gea's injury occurred just hours before his club side Manchester United was set to face leaders Liverpool in the Premier League on October 20, 2019.
