On April 27th, Xiaomi will unveil the latest version of its custom Android overlay, MIUI 12. This update will mark the end of MIUI 11, which has been available to users since September 2019.
According to reports, Xiaomi had halted development on MIUI 11 a month ago, sparking speculation that the company was focusing its efforts on the upcoming MIUI 12. Now, it appears that MIUI 12's time has finally arrived.
MIUI 12 is expected to bring new features and improvements to Xiaomi devices, although it will still be based on Android 10, just like MIUI 11. This is not surprising, given Xiaomi's history of prioritizing its own custom features over Android updates.
For those eager to try out MIUI 12, an unofficial application is available on the Google Play Store that claims to check whether users' devices are eligible for the upgrade.
