On October 10, 2019, Huddah Monroe, the Kenyan socialite known for her flashy lifestyle, chose to celebrate her birthday in a unique way – by visiting the Mathare slums and spending time with underprivileged children.

It was a day of outreach and connection, as Huddah engaged with the kids and shared her own story of growing up in a less affluent background.

During an interview, Huddah revealed that she wasn't always the rich kid she appeared to be in school. In fact, she was often sent out of school for being 'hard-headed' and acting like a rich kid despite not being one at home.

'I was a hard head and used to be sent out of school. I used to act like a rich kid and we weren’t rich at home.'

After the interview, a dance crew performed for the kids, and Huddah treated her team to lunch at a nearby kibanda, reminiscing about her pre-fame days.

As she spent time with the children, Huddah Monroe's birthday celebration became a heartwarming moment of connection and reflection on her humble beginnings.
