On June 23, 2020, Churchill Show comedian Othuol Othul's health crisis deepened after he was rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital.
According to Laugh Industry's Ken Waudo, Othuol had been experiencing TB complications for quite some time and had been in and out of hospitals for treatment.
Waudo revealed that Othuol fainted at home and was rushed to Kitengela Hospital, where he was treated until he was conscious, before being referred to Kenyatta National Hospital.
Speaking to Word Is, Waudo expressed his gratitude that Othuol was admitted and is now conscious, although he cannot move his limbs.
Waudo's post on Facebook highlighted the struggles of the country's healthcare system, lamenting how Othuol was kept waiting on the queue for hours before being admitted at the facility.
He wrote, 'As I write this, fellow artistes who took him yesternight spent the cold evening together, consoling him and trying their best to have him attended to …Should someone die just like that?'
Othuol has been admitted to Ward 8, where he is receiving treatment, and has been in and out of the hospital for the past two years.
