On October 15, 2019, it was reported that Mario Booysen was expected to sign a deal with Amazulu, a South African football club, as he sought to further his career.
Booysen had recently parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the previous season and had been spotted training with Amazulu under the guidance of coach Josef Vukusic.
