On October 14, 2019, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) shifted its focus to the Kenya Ferry Services' Managing Director, Bakari Gowa, to determine the cause of a tragic ferry accident that resulted in the loss of a mother's life.
The investigation comes as the ferry service continues to operate despite concerns over safety.
