On October 14, 2019, a shocking revelation was made by Anne Thumbi, the baby mama of the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth, during a church service in Kibra. Thumbi claimed that Okoth was working closely with the Jubilee government, despite being a member of the ODM party.
According to Thumbi, Okoth's close association with Jubilee was met with opposition from top leaders within ODM, leading to the stalling of development projects in the constituency.
Thumbi made the revelation while campaigning for McDonald Mariga in Kibra, stating that Okoth's success in developing the constituency was attributed to his close working relationship with Jubilee. She urged the residents to vote for a Jubilee candidate to help achieve Okoth's vision.
“Let me tell you one secret that most of you don’t know, Ken Okoth was working with Jubilee at night and ODM during the day. All these development projects including roads were all achieved because he was working closely with government,” Thumbi said.
