Published on October 13, 2019, Hon. Jaguar, the member of parliament for Starehe constituency, has expressed his concerns over the dominance of older politicians in Kenyan politics.

According to Jaguar, electing and appointing old people in government positions outrightly denies youths the opportunity to rise to power and participate in decision-making processes.

He criticized the Kenyan leaders for their greed of power and positions, describing them as a batch of power-hungry politicians who only seek to maintain their grip on power for selfish interests.

Jaguar listed several old Kenyan politicians and leaders who he believes should have long retired from active politics and paved the way for new blood.

He called on the Kenyan youths to take advantage of their large numbers and use it against the power-hungry politicians who seem to never want to leave offices.

Furthermore, Jaguar expressed his concerns over the proposed constitutional amendments by Odinga and Uhuru, which he believes are aimed at ensuring that they stay in office beyond 2022.
