On a recent episode of Kiss 100's morning show, Kamene and Kibe's conversation took an unexpected turn when Andrew Kibe revealed he wouldn't mind having romantic feelings for Kamene Goro.
However, Kibe clarified that their work relationship is what stops him from pursuing anything further, as he wouldn't want to compromise their professional relationship.
The topic arose after Kamene expressed her disagreement with the notion that men and women can't be just friends, citing her own experiences with male friends as evidence.
"I have very few female friends. Actually, I have no female close friends. I have said this so many times, and does this mean that I cannot just have male friends with no strings attached? All the friendships I have had with females go down south. So I prefer men," Kamene said.
Andrew Kibe was taken aback by Kamene's statement, suggesting that she doesn't understand the complexities of male relationships.
"Haven't you understood who men are? One day as you're walking to the 11th floor and you're tipsy and walking up the stairs and you're in the mood, that is when you will know these are not your just friends. The day you feel like that job is not as important, then I will come for you, no lie," Kibe said.
Listeners weighed in on the debate, with one caller defending the possibility of platonic male-female friendships and another male caller arguing that feelings are always involved in such relationships.
For the first time, Kamene found herself in agreement with Andrew Kibe on this matter.
