On October 10, 2019, Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o showcased her hidden talent as a rapper on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
She introduced her alter-ego as a rapper, embracing her nickname 'Troublemaker' given to her by rapper Common.
Before starting her rap, Nyong'o said, 'I was baptized Troublemaker by Common, so I feel like it's legit. And rapping is something I do in the car.'
Her rap included a mention of the queen Beyoncé, a nod to their shared appreciation for black culture and identity.
As seen in her song 'Brown Skin Girl', Nyong'o expressed gratitude towards Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z for their support.
