On October 9, 2019, Mary Kilobi, the youngest TV wife of Central Organisation of Trade Union boss Francis Atwoli, took to her Facebook to announce the tragic death of her brother, Emmanuel Weyusia, who was shot by unknown assailants.
Emmanuel Weyusia, affectionately known as Marsh, was a protective and loving brother to Kilobi, who eulogized him in a heartfelt Facebook post.
"Marsh, you will forever be my big brother, our very protective bro. My Mama's firstborn. How do I say RIP?" Kilobi wondered, struggling to come to terms with the loss.
As Kilobi sought comfort in her faith, she expressed her pain and shock at the senseless killing, saying, "God, it may not be well with me now because of how I feel but I still hold onto you for comfort. Even though you have allowed this pain to come my way, You are still my God."
The motive behind the incident remains unclear, leaving the family and loved ones to grapple with the devastating loss.
