On April 27, 2020, Kenya's Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced an increase in confirmed coronavirus cases.

According to Kagwe, 8 new cases were reported, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 363.

The new cases were reported in Nairobi and Mombasa, with 4 cases each.

Additionally, 8 more patients have been discharged, bringing the total number of those who have recovered from Covid-19 to 114.
