On October 8, 2019, Uganda Airlines marked a significant milestone in its revival with the arrival of two Bombardier CRJ900 airplanes at the Entebbe International Airport.

The new aircrafts are part of the airline's efforts to increase its flight destinations in Africa, with plans to cover several other destinations including Kinshasa, Asmara, Hergeisa, Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg, Djibouti, and Addis Ababa.

According to Cornwell Muleya, the airline's technical advisor, the new aircrafts will enable the carrier to expand its services to these destinations.

Uganda Airlines had previously flown to eight destinations and had a fleet of 15 aircraft before its liquidation in 2001. The airline was later revived in August 2019.

With the addition of the new aircrafts, the airline has also unveiled three additional regional routes to Bujumbura, Kilimanjaro, and Mombasa, bringing the total number of its destinations to seven.
