At just 19 years old, Tyler Mbaya, popularly known as Baha, has already experienced the highs and lows of life. Born into a family of actors, Baha's late mother Wanade used to act in the mother-in-law dramedy, while his uncle Omosh is an actor in Tahidi High, and his aunt is an actress.

Published on October 8, 2019, Baha spoke to Mpasho.co.ke about his life journey, including the loss of his mother to cancer in 2013.

'Losing parents at a young age made me mature very first and see life differently,' Baha said in an exclusive interview. 'I just thank God for everything because you never know who I would have grown into. I was definitely a mama's boy and all that changed when she passed.'

After joining Machachari at the age of seven, Baha's life became tough after losing his mother. However, he believes that this experience turned him into a better person.

'Maisha ilinionesha ugumu ingine na nikakauka nayo and turned out to be a better person, a tough one and maybe that was God's plan for me,' Baha said.

Despite the challenges he faced, Baha still misses his mother's food, especially mandazi. He wishes he knew the recipe she used.

When asked about his relationship with Govi, Baha's co-star in Machachari, he described him as more than just a friend.

'Govi is my second brother and understands me as my blood bro do. We met at Makutano Junction before we joined Machachari. We get along and can't be separated,' Baha said.
