On Sunday, Kenya confirmed 12 new coronavirus cases, bringing the national tally to 355.
The new cases include eight from Nairobi, with the remaining three having recently traveled to Somalia.
According to the Ministry of Health's Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Rashid Aman, the country has surpassed the 100 mark of recovery, with 106 recoveries reported so far.
"Today we acknowledge the positive steps made. We have surpassed the 100 mark of recovery," Aman said in an address to the media.
The new cases in Nairobi have been reported in various areas, including Kibra, Karen, Dandora, Eastleigh, Kasarani, South B, and Umoja.
Additionally, Aman announced that testing of truck drivers will commence immediately at all border posts, following the recent announcement that five Kenyan truck drivers had tested positive for coronavirus in Uganda.
