Published on October 8, 2019, a 14-year-old boy was arraigned in a Nakuru court and charged with defiling a one-and-a-half-year-old girl in Mau Narok, Njoro Constituency.
The alleged defilement occurred on September 19 and 20, after the child's mother left her in the boy's custody.
According to court documents, the neighbours caught the boy 'pants down' and immediately alerted the police.
The 14-year-old suspect denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh300,000 with a surety of a similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on October 24, with the prosecution lining up seven witnesses to testify against the accused.
