Published on October 6, 2019, a tragic road accident occurred on Sunday morning in Gilgil, along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
Two people lost their lives instantly in the accident, while two others were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
The incident occurred when two trailers collided head-on, with one lorry attempting to overtake before ramming into the other oncoming lorry.
Nakuru police boss Stephen Matu confirmed the incident, stating that the two who died were drivers of the ill-fated vehicles while the survivors were turnboys of the trucks.
Investigations have been launched into the incident, and the bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Gilgil sub-county hospital mortuary.
