Questionable Money in Kibra By-Election Exposed ¶
ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has revealed that millions of shillings have been poured into Kibra to influence the by-election outcome, calling it a betrayal of the Kibra residents who are also Kenyans deserving of constitutional services.
Speaking after returning from a trip to the United States, Mudavadi said the influx of money in Kibra is a sign of the country's descent into a state of slavery where people can be bought to vote.
"As usual, we see a lot of money being thrown around and questions arise about where it comes from. This money indicates how the country has degenerated," Mudavadi said.
"It shows a state of slavery where people believe they can be bought to vote and it's a matter that needs to be addressed," he added.
The by-election in Kibra has turned into a hotly contested battle between Jubilee, ODM, and ANC, with Deputy President William Ruto promising to win the seat for Jubilee.
ODM has been accused of bribing voters with KSh 50,000 each, while Jubilee has been accused of using questionable means to win the election.
Mudavadi called out those using questionable money to influence the outcome of the election, saying Kibra residents deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
"Kibra is a community of good people who deserve a good life. They are Kenyans with feelings just like others. They have needs just like other Kenyans and they deserve constitutional services just like others," Mudavadi said.
