On Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Kenya's Hellen Obiri made history by retaining her 5000m World title in a stunning fashion.
Obiri led the pack from gun-to-tape, crossing the finish line in a Championships Record time of 14:26.72.
Her compatriot, Margaret Chelimo, also of Kenya, took silver in a personal best of 14:27.49, in an exciting race that showcased the athletes' exceptional skill and endurance.
