Adelaide, the first wife of former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, succumbed to cancer while undergoing treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret on Saturday evening.
She had been battling cancer since 2003, a testament to her strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
Before her untimely death, Adelaide worked as a secretary at Masinde Muliro University, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and hard work.
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula was among the first to respond to the news, offering his condolences to Boni Khalwale and his family.
"My heartfelt condolences to my brother Bonny Khalwale and his family following the loss of his first wife. May the good Lord rest her soul in eternal peace. Amen!!" Wetangula wrote on social media.
Boni Khalwale also took to social media to break the sad news, writing: "A sad morning. Death has just robbed my first wife."
