Kenyan media has lost a gem with the departure of Hussein Mohamed from Citizen TV after a decade-long stint. The journalist's hard-hitting interviews on NewsNight have left an indelible mark on the industry.
On October 4, 2019, Hussein took to Twitter to announce his decision to leave Citizen TV, stating that he would be taking a break to concentrate on other matters. He expressed gratitude to his colleagues at RMS and appreciated the love and criticism he received from fans and critics alike.
It has been a wonderful 10 years at Citizen TV. I have enjoyed & relished every moment I shared with my colleagues at RMS. I have decided to take a break after October In Sha Allah to concentrate on other matters. Loved the fans, the critics & everything in between.
