Inspekta Mwala, a Kenyan TV personality, has had a tumultuous career, marked by a rise to fame and a subsequent fall due to his indecent behavior.
Before his rise to fame, moral importance was a key factor in the entertainment industry, but as time went on, entertainers began to prioritize moral decadence over being morally upright.
Inspekta Mwala, whose real name is Davies Mwabili, started his career as a short man who defied odds to become a respected figure on Kenyan TV screens.
However, his career took a turn for the worse when a video of him forcing himself on his co-host, Melody Sinzore, was leaked online, sparking a massive backlash.
Things took a darker turn when he was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Kilifi County that claimed a life. He was subsequently arraigned in court, charged, and sentenced to 1 year in prison or a fine of KES 30,000.
Inspekta Mwala chose the latter and was released from prison after a short while. He even went on to emcee a police event just a week after his sentencing.
As a result of his actions, Citizen TV has removed his show from its programming schedule and replaced it with a more educational program called 'Maria', which is set to premiere in October.
