On September 30, 2019, a dramatic car crash occurred in Glasgow, involving former England striker Jermain Defoe.

Defoe, who had just scored for Rangers in their 5-0 win over Aberdeen, was involved in a three-car collision along Balshagray Avenue.

According to eyewitnesses, a BMW M4 sports car was traveling south when it somehow went through the central reservation and clipped Defoe's Range Rover.

Fortunately, Defoe escaped unhurt from the incident, which left two vehicles badly damaged.

Defoe later confirmed on Instagram that he was okay, saying, 'Thank you for all your lovely messages. I'm fine, I'm all good.'

He added, 'I'm just going to go home and rest up. I'm just a little bit in shock but I'm all good.'

The incident occurred near the Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow's Broomhill area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that police were called to the scene at 6:05 pm.
