Published on September 29, 2019, Gor Mahia coach Steven Polack has made significant changes to his starting lineup for the Caf Champions League return tie against USM Alger.
Goalkeeper David Mapigano has been dropped to the bench, with Fredrick Odhiambo taking his place in the starting squad to face the Algerian champions at Kasarani.
The Kenyan champions will have just four players on the bench, with Samuel Onyango out due to flu. The team only registered 16 players for the preliminary stage of the competition.
Maurice Ojwanga makes his continental debut at centre back, while Nicholas Kipkirui will lead a three-prong attack alongside Boniface Omondi and Dickson Ambundo.
USM Alger carries a three-goal advantage into this match, having won the first leg 4-1. Gor will need to score three unanswered goals to proceed to the group stage.
