Kenyan smartphone enthusiasts, get ready for the latest addition to the TECNO family. TECNO Kenya has confirmed that the new TECNO Camon 12 Series will be arriving in the country soon.
The series consists of three devices: the Camon 12 Air, Camon 12, and Camon 12 Pro. The Camon 12 Air boasts a punch-hole display, a feature that is yet to be seen in any other smartphone in Kenya. If priced fairly, it could be one of the biggest selling smartphones in Kenya this year.
The Camon 12 and Camon 12 Pro are well-specced devices, with the latter featuring an under-display fingerprint scanner, an AMOLED display, a triple camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage. It runs on Android 9 Pie and is powered by a 3500mAh battery with a Micro-USB port.
However, one concern is that the Camon 12 Pro's design is similar to that of TECNO's flagship, the Phantom 9. This could make it difficult for TECNO to price the Camon 12 Pro competitively.
It's worth noting that the Camon 12 Pro will be launching after the announcement of Android 10, which could be a concern for users who want to stay up-to-date with the latest software.
