September 12, 2019 - Tottenham's injury woes have opened a door for Victor Wanyama, who has been struggling to find his place in the team since the arrival of Lo Celso and Ndombele.

With Argentine star Giovani Lo Celso the latest casualty on the club's treatment table, Wanyama could be afforded a place back in the starting line-up.

Lo Celso picked a hip injury during the international break against Chile and is expected to be sidelined in the upcoming matches.

Wanyama, who has fallen down the pecking order under Mauricio Pochettino, has yet to feature for Spurs this season, only making the matchday squad for the side's season opener against Aston Villa as an unused substitute.

His future at the Lilywhites was widely linked with a summer exit, but he came close to sealing a switch to Club Brugge, only for the deal to fall through.
