Abnormal Bread Sparks Concerns in Kenya ¶
July 26, 2021
A recent trend of oversized breads being sold at a cheap price has raised concerns among Kenyans, with many calling for an investigation into Kenafric's Kingsmil bread.
According to reports, Kenafric Industry Ltd's Kingsmil bread is being sold at a lower price compared to other brands like Supa Loaf and DPL Festive, despite being larger in size.
Some Kenyans have taken to Twitter to express their concerns, with one user sharing that the bread is made from recycled bread returned to the company.
Another user questioned why the Health organizations have not banned the sale of Kingsmill bread, calling it a 'serious issue.'
Edward Genesis, a Twitter user, shared that he got the information from an employee who actually does the recycling.
Many Kenyans are now calling for a thorough investigation into the matter to determine what is being added to the breads nowadays.
