Woman Dies in Road Accident After Wrestling with Matatu Driver

Published on July 24, 2021, a tragic road accident occurred in Laikipia, Kenya, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Jackline Wairimu Nyokabi.

According to eyewitnesses, Nyokabi was seated on the co-driver's seat and had a disagreement with the driver, Mohamud Mwanzo, 25. The disagreement escalated, and Nyokabi began struggling with the steering wheel.

As a result, the vehicle lost control and landed on its left side off the right side of the road, as stated in a police report.

Nyokabi died on the spot, while the driver and another passenger, Charity Mwangi, 21, escaped unhurt.

The vehicle was hauled and confined at the station yard pending inspection, and the deceased body was taken to Nanyuko Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
