On Friday evening, Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala made his debut at the Diamond League in Brussels, a moment he described as a dream come true.
According to Omanyala, every athlete's dream is to participate in high-level championships, and he was proud to be the best African in the race, beating the likes of Akani Simbine.
Despite losing to Americans, who swept the first three places in sub 10 seconds, Omanyala clocked 10.02 seconds, a notable achievement in his career.
He expressed his excitement for the upcoming Kip Keino Classic, hoping to set a new record with a sub 10 seconds time and entertain his fans in Kenya.
Omanyala also looks forward to participating in the Africa Championships, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships next year.
