Kenya Records 787 New Covid-19 Cases, 12 Deaths

As of July 22nd, 2021, Kenya has recorded 787 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed positive cases to 195,898. The positivity rate stands at 11.4%.

The new cases are distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording the highest number of cases at 338, followed by Mombasa with 60 cases.

Of the new cases, 750 are Kenyans, 37 are foreigners, and the youngest case is a one-day-old infant, while the oldest is 97 years old.

Unfortunately, 12 patients have succumbed to the disease, with one death occurring in the last 24 hours and 11 late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in July 2021.

As of July 22nd, 2021, a total of 1,661,560 vaccines have been administered across the country, with 1,044,638 being first doses and 616,922 being second doses.
