This archive report was first published on 24 July 2021.

On July 23rd, celebrated gospel artiste and TV presenter Kambua took to social media to share her personal story of overcoming a difficult experience during pregnancy.

She revealed that she had suffered from alopecia, a condition characterized by partial or complete hair loss, during both her pregnancies.

According to Kambua, the condition had been intensified by the stress she went through after losing her son.

She shared that she had resorted to using supplements and oils to stimulate her hair follicles, saying 'huku ni mapambano tu!' (it's just a struggle!) as she posed the question to her followers, 'How about you?'

Kambua also revealed that she finds comfort in her now all grown son, Nathaniel, and expressed her undying love for him, saying 'How long will I love you? As long as the stars are above you; and longer if I can.'
