As of July 21st, 2021, Kenya's COVID-19 situation continues to evolve. The Ministry of Health has reported 801 new cases, bringing the total confirmed positive cases to 195,111.
The new cases are distributed across various counties, with Nairobi leading the pack with 319 cases, followed by Mombasa with 77 cases, and Kilifi with 71 cases.
On a positive note, the Ministry of Health has announced that 293 patients have recovered from the disease, with 322 recoveries from the Home-Based Isolation and Care Program and 159 from various health facilities across the country.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 184,461, with 147,158 recoveries from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program and 37,303 from various health facilities.
However, the country has also recorded 15 new fatalities, all of which are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in the months of April, June, and July 2021.
The cumulative fatalities now stand at 3,826.
As of July 21st, 2021, a total of 1,648,869 vaccines have been administered across the country, with 1,042,455 first doses and 606,414 second doses.
