Kenyan singer Otile Brown has sparked controversy after denying allegations that he met with Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua. The incident occurred on July 19, 2021, when the governor shared photos of himself with the singer on his Instagram page.
According to the governor, he had an excellent time interacting with Otile Brown, discussing his aspirations and sharing jokes. He also promised to support the singer and other Kenyan artists, assuring them that they would receive their dues.
However, Otile Brown rejected the allegations, stating that they did not hold any form of discussions. He further accused the governor of trying to ride on his wave and being a liar.
Otile Brown is currently the country's top artist on YouTube, with 834,000 subscribers and over 206 million views. His song, Dusuma, featuring Rwanda's Meddy, is Kenya's most viewed song with over 30 million views.
