On July 17th, 2021, comedian Eric Omondi took the stage at Tanzania's National Stadium in Temeke, leaving a lasting impression on the audience of over 46,000 people.

Recently, Eric Omondi made headlines after a public spat with KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua, who claimed that Eric was broke and that Kenyan artists were showy but financially struggling.
Eric responded by flaunting Ksh 3 million in his bedroom, captioning 'Tag Ezekiel na umwambie SHINDWE!!!!'
Speaking on Mungai Eve's channel, Eric revealed the financial details of his Tanzanian performance, stating, 'Hiyo event ime cost Ksh 17, 500, 000. Magufuli alinyosha ile ivi. Kila kitu unafanya iko on records. Kufanya ile event. Ile pesa Eric Omondi ame make after all that, kulipa sound, kulipa stadium, kulipa security… Alafu pesa ile imebaki ni Ksh 3.6 Million.'
Eric also challenged his fellow artists to replicate his feat, claiming to be the only African to have entertained such a large crowd.
